Aman Dosanj
Former England, Arsenal, and Southampton footballer who made history as the first British South Asian to rep-
resent England at any level, and the first girl accepted into a Premier League boys’ academy with Southampton FC. She was later
appointed as one of just 14 Football for all ambassadors by the English FA for her impact on inclusion in the game.
After retiring from football, Dosanj traded the pitch for the kitchen, founding the acclaimed pop-up series The Paisley Notebook.
Her dinners are shaped by seasonal produce and the stories of farmers and artisans, using surprise menus to spark conversations
around social justice, climate change, and South Asian culture.
The project has raised nearly $80,000 for anti-racism and mental
health charities, earned the Culinary Tourism Experience award at the Canadian Tourism Industry Awards (2018), and was named
the “coolest” pop-up in Canada by Food & Wine (2024). She is also a respected freelance writer, with bylines in Food & Wine,
ELLE Canada, The Globe & Mail, and more.
